BowTech (or Bowen, Bowen Technique) is a hands-on manual treatment originally developed by Tom Bowen (1916-1982) in Australia. Now it is practised worldwide by practitioners trained in Bowtech, The Original Bowen Technique.

A series of precisely placed thumb and finger motions are done over tendons, muscles or nerves, delivering signals to the nervous system. These small movements stimulate the body's own natural healing mechanisms, allowing the body to reset and heal itself.

Bowen is so gentle and non-invasive that it is safe for all ages from babies to the elderly. It is appropriate and beneficial at any stage of wellness including immediately after new injuries or sugery.

Bowen addresses the entire body holistically, therefore is able to help with many conditions, including physical, psychological and emotional.

Although most individuals notice improvements after the first session, it is recommended that a second session be scheduled a week later to ensure depth and longevity of integration.

In most cases, Bowen produces rapid and lasting results. Benefits are usually apparent within two or three sessions, even when long-standing conditions are being treated.
